In 2016-17, IKEA launched several innovations in Belgium, including a new online home delivery service. Although this was a significant step for the brand, it wasn’t entirely new to customers as a technology. To boost consideration and showcase its ease of use, we devised a strategy to integrate the service with Deliveroo, a popular food delivery app in Belgium.
Despite the logistical challenges that prevented full implementation, the idea underscored IKEA’s commitment to enhancing customer experience by leveraging familiar delivery platforms to make the new service more relatable and accessible.
